The Conference is made up of members who are non-ordained lay-people, as well as ordained clergy, forming ministry teams in local communities to concentrate on the needs there.

A more spiritual path for both men and women drawn to a quasi-monastic approach to their journey. Discipline and obligation are necessary characteristics for joining this family of members.

Different from Old Baptist Union in that it is a non-denominational Association of the Faithful. F&W offers affiliation, preparation, covering (ordination and charters) and accountability for those interested.

The Rev. Alex Brandon was ordained in 1979, and is the first half of BRANDON - KEITH MINISTRIES. He is also Associate Pastor at Evergreen Lutheran Church in Phelan in the High Desert area of Southern California. With 40 years in business management and ownership, Pastor Brandon has also spent decades directing nonprofits and held local elected offices for 12 years. A member in almost every military fraternal auxiliary there is, Chaplain Brandon has devoted three decades of ministry to Veterans. As current examples, he serves as President of the VFW Auxiliary No. 9415 and is the Assistant Adjutant for the Department of California, Sons of The American Legion. He is a proud father to a son who is an Honor student, lettered in academics, advanced placement Senior in his last year of High School. Alex is a popular Emcee and public speaker who delivers a tailored message with warmth and humor.
The Rev. Hugh Keith was ordained in 1997, and is the "better" half of BRANDON - KEITH MINISTRIES. He is the Presiding Bishop of the Old Baptist Union in America. Bishop Keith has enjoyed a nearly 30 year professional career in the field of executive administrative support and office administration. He is a proud Gulf War Navy Veteran , married 30 years, father to a successful adult son with a career in construction project management, Harley-Davidson owner and motorcycle enthusiast. A Life Member and officer in the VFW, and frequent Chaplain at many Northern California VA "Stand Down" events, he shares his ministry partner's enthusiam for serving fellow veterans. Hugh also has a real heart for ministering to ministers. He and his family live in the Bay area of Northern California.
We are happy to announce that after over a decade in collaboration, the individual ministry efforts of Alex Brandon and Hugh Keith will now be recognized as having joined together as “BRANDON - KEITH MINISTRIES.”
“ALEX BRANDON MINISTRIES” (alexbrandon.org) has existed unofficially since 1979, and officially since 2006 with the development of a logo and a website. Hugh Keith’s “INTROSPICERE MINISTRIES” (introspicere.org) was started in 1997 with an eye toward ministering to ministers. In 2016, Hugh created “Ride With A Purpose,” an outreach to not-so-seasoned motorcyclists (ridewapurpose.com).
Since 2008 these two ordained Ministers of The Gospel and Chaplains have worked together to regenerate the Old Baptist Union in America (obu-usa.org), establish a non-denominational association of the faithful known as Faith & Works Christian Fellowship (james2-26.org), and to organize the premier global general chaplaincy membership 501c3 for both ordained and lay people – the US Conference of Chaplains (uscoc.org). Since 2010 these organizations have been recognized as outreaches of ALEX BRANDON MINISTRIES. Trademarks, copyrights. etc. for each has been in tandem with ABM.
We believe that this name change recognizes the equal efforts of both partners in their mutual ministries over the years. This outward change simply reflects the private collaboration which has long existed. The change in name of the parent umbrella ministry is just a formal introduction to the advancements we have made over time. Nothing else really is different. Our service and excellence shall not change with the name; indeed, the only change we endeavor to make shall be toward inclusion, improvement and expansion.
The members of Faith & Works will continue under that name and Fellowship. Members of the US Conference of Chaplains will advance their training, networking and service to their local communities under that same banner. (The USCoC is, after all, its own 501c3). The Old Baptist Union is a separate and distinct Christian church denomination. And there is more to come with the Order of Saint James the Just (a quasi-monastic and noble religious Order).
We request our members, volunteers, ministry partners, affiliates and recipients of services to help spread the word so that more and more people could be informed about the change in name of our parent organization. We thank all of you for the development of our “brands” (for lack of a better term) and expect to be in alliance with you for a long time in the years to come.
Every Blessing… and Peace Always,
Alex Brandon and Hugh Keith
